I have a good friend and he just got a promise ring for his girlfriend and wants a really unique and surprising way to give the ring to her. She kinda has an idea he’s doing something involving a ring b/c he had to ask her ring size but he wants to surprise her in the way he presents it. Nothing too expensive but he’s up for anything. I purchased a $3000 3/4 ct diamond engagement ring for my girlfriend in September from a jewelry store chain that is very reputable. Over the last month we’ve noticed a tiny black mark inside of the diamond, only noticeable from the sides, not on top. We took it back there and the lady said this is a normal characteristic of a real diamond and that sometimes this just happens. It proves the diamond is real. Anyone ever heard of this?

My girlfriend and i have many minor arguments but overall we get along great. we work out all of our problems and our one year is coming up soon. We both love each other and when we do have them big fights after like a half hour we make up and she always replies i don’t ever want to lose you. I feel the same way and i want her to get her a promise ring. i don’t know anything about jewelery so how much could it run for?
