What is the best way to clean a diamond engagement ring in white gold?
mililanil asked:
I just want to find something that I can clean my ring with at home so it looks as good as when I got it.

they sell jewelry cleaning kits. i wouldn’t use any household cleaners because they can be harsh.
or the next time you go to the mall just go to a jewelry store and ask them if they can clean it for you. they’ll do it for free!

omg…mi mother has a white gold ring too!!!
If you take it to Biele jewlers(or ne jewelry store) then you hav to ask for your ring to get steamed and cleaned. and then you can buy a container of jewelry cleaner. It usually comes in a red container.

High maintenance women never ask such a question, but a desperate housewife would put it in the dishwasher along with the meatloaf pan and the chop sticks. If it’s a real diamond it will shine with the right no residue dish washing powder or fluid, and if it ain’t real, the soap will expose the under-tarnish defects that will rise to the surface.

I know this is going to sound odd, but I worked for a jeweler and learned this great diamond cleaning technique (this is how I clean my diamond)
Take a small pan, put a little bit of water in it (I use a small, shallow fry pan) and add 1/2 tsp of Cascade (in the powder format). Bring the water to a gentle boil (remember, diamonds are hard and will not get hurt!) and stick the rign in there for about a minute. It will come out more sparkling than any other way - it is unbelievable. I have used this method for 20 years now to clean my diamond.
Hope this helps.
