When is the right time to get a promise ring for my girlfriend?

okay well, bring up how much you love her, and how you really think that yall could have a future together, and ask her if she agrees. If she says she does, whip out the ring! Good luck!

Promise rings are for kids, and marriage is for adults.
I love my girlfriend, and loved her to death for our entire relationship. We’re in our 20’s and I waited till we were together for over 2 years before I recently proposed.
Don’t get a promise ring, just continue to care for her, and wait till you’re a grown up to do anything that has to do with marriage.

Personally (and this is a sappy, romantic female talking), I think promise rings are cheesy. To me, there are engagement rings and wedding bands… if you’re not ready for either of those, there’s no need for a promise ring.
Be good to her, convince her every day how deeply in love with her you are through your actions and words. Demonstrate your commitment to her–not with a ring–but by BEING committed to her.
Of course… we DO like pretty things… so a ring might not be a bad idea for a special occasion. Just don’t call it a promise ring.

Hmmm…Maybe wait for a year just so you can be 1000% sure that this is the real thing. A lot can change in 6 months.
