Mixing a colorless diamond engagement ring with a colored diamond band?

My fiance has given me a 1/3 carat diamond engagement ring. However, I love the look of colored diamonds. Does anyone think it would look bad to have a wedding band made of very small, colored diamonds? Also, do you think it would take away from the diamond in my engagement ring?

You’d have to look at them together to be sure, but the colored diamonds could serve as a secondary accent. If they are small enough, they shouldn’t overpower the main ring.

How about mixing the two diamonds on the band? So that the colored diamonds are an accessory to the diamond engagement ring and the other diamonds in the band, That’s what i did with my rings. i love sapphires so i mixed up the two, diamonds and sapphires.

Definitely not, I’ve seen them that way before, and to me they make a very pretty set. And I think the first thing you notice is the diamond being accentuated by the band. The choice is yours ,but to answer your question honestly I thought it was very pretty. Good Luck! I think the beauty of each will be detracted by putting them together.
Go for a plain wedding band and get a separate ring with coloured diamonds for your other hand.

i love pink diamonds… i want them incorporated somehow… i think it will look fine and beautiful no matter what color diamond you like… just be aware that they are often more expensive since they are more rare… congratulations!

That wouldn’t match. Just go with a plain wedding band.
You can always save and get yourself a dress ring at some point in the future with coloured stones.

1/3 of a carat?? You need to break off the engagement immediately and get a better guy!
