put your promise ring on the other hand or just wear it once in awhile or on special occasions.
Usually you keep the engagement ring together side by side with the wedding ring once married. You will have it sodered together so it wont wear or rub together with the other ring.

you could wear it on the other hand, i would leave your finger empty for the wedding( no promise ring) and i’m putting my “promise ring” up for my daughter when she gets older for like maybe her 16th birthday or something!!

Wear the promise ring on the right, unless you just don’t want to wear it anymore — I kind of saw it as a stage in our lives that had passed, so once I got married, I quit wearing it and put it away.
During the ceremony, you wear the engagement ring as normal and put the wedding ring on top of it during the ceremony. Then later when you have a minute of privacy, on the way to the reception or whatever, switch it and put the engagement ring on top of the wedding band.
It’s best to have the 2 rings soldered together as soon as possible after the wedding and after you get back from your honeymoon. That keeps them from scratching each other as they rub together, and it helps keep them in the right place. Before I got them soldered together, my wedding ring was ALWAYS backwards with the diamonds on the palm side of my hand, which was scratching them up! So, it’s best to get them soldered together as soon as possible, even though that means getting rid of both rings for awhile!

I wear mine on my right hand, and replaced it with my engagement ring. So my engagement ring is on my left, promise on the right. Leave the promise ring on,and the engagement ring gets placed in front of your wedding ring. your wedding band goes closest to your heart. You have someone hold the engagement ring for you then your new hubby places it back on your finger after the ceremony(while you wait for guest to start the exit of the church or site.
